What Can I Expect During My First Visit to Pivonka Chiropractic?

Although each doctor' s process will vary, generally you can expect to complete a full medical history questionnaire and "new patient" paperwork. You will then consult with Dr. Andy or Dr. Patty Pivonka. This consultation is your opportunity to express your health concerns and expectations, and to ask any questions you may have pertaining to the matter. It is also for Dr. Pivonka to express his or her role in your health care and discuss your health prognosis. A physical exam will be performed which may include orthopedic testing, reflex assessments, muscle testing, visual postural assessment. In some cases X-rays may be necessary to determine an exact diagnosis. X-rays are performed in the office. Following physical exams and any X-rays a computerized postural exam will be performed and then your initial visit will be complete. Dr. Pivonka will then have you schedule for a report of findings to come back and see the results of your tests. This will allow Dr. Pivonka the time to synthesize all of your exam findings and gain a clear picture of what is causing your health condition. Some patient's, who present in extreme discomfort, will be adjusted on their first visit as their need dictates.
